Here we go breaking the rules again. The Kirk Corner Notch point style was typical for the East Coast of the United States and the most commonly used materials would have been local cherts. This point however, is made from Mookaite Jasper from Mooka Station, which was a large sheep grazing property in Australia at one time. An interesting thing about Mookaite is that it's actually petrified mud, and it's true wonder from down under. Something tells me the the tribes of this area would have loved to get their hands on this gorgeous stone from half way around the globe.
