This Inuit inspired Ulu style knife was pressure knapped from a cut slab of gray banded obsidian from Davis Creek in California. The handle is made from the main shoot of a Bush Honeysuckle plant that has been stained and sealed with enamel.  The blade has been hafted into the handle using traditional methods with pine pitch glue being used to set the blade and whitetail deer sinew and hide glue to make the securing wraps. This unique piece is sure to make a lovely mantle piece, and is sure to be a conversation starter.
